Client Requirements
  • To design and fit out an electrical system for a new simplistic cost effective ambulance, which will give the customer lower maintenance costs and future proofing benefits through the life of the vehicle.
  • The vehicle needed to have low current-draw lighting and the ability to be serviced on the side of the road anywhere in the country.
  • To have a turnkey solution whereby a complete vehicle is delivered by a partnership of bodybuilder (Fairfax Industries) and electronics provider (Steelcom Electronics).
Solution
  • Fit out the ambulance with the latest in LED lighting technology.
  • Design and fit a charging and starting system that would prevent low battery faults.
